Do I Qualify for GLP-1? Free 60-Second Eligibility Quiz
Most programs consider adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or sleep apnea. DoIQualify is an independent comparison site, not a medical provider: the quiz shows whether you may meet common criteria that programs use, and what programs typically cost without insurance. A result is not an approval, and a licensed clinician makes every prescribing decision.
Before you start, you can check your BMI or read Do I qualify for a GLP-1?, our guide to who qualifies, which cites the FDA labels.
Common questions
What BMI do you need for GLP-1?
As of September 2026, the FDA-approved weight-loss GLP-1s are indicated for adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or a BMI of 27 to 29.9 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol. A licensed clinician makes every prescribing decision.
Can I qualify with a BMI of 27?
You may meet common criteria if your BMI is 27 to 29.9 and you have a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or sleep apnea. A BMI below 27 does not match the FDA labels, because no weight-loss GLP-1 was studied or approved below that.
Do I need insurance?
No. Many online programs are self-pay. If your commercial plan covers the drug, manufacturer savings cards can bring your share down to as little as $25 a month, and Medicare’s GLP-1 Bridge costs eligible members $50 a month. Our costs guide lists the sources.
How much does GLP-1 cost per month online?
As of October 2026, manufacturer self-pay prices for FDA-approved products run $149 to $449 a month if you refill on time; Zepbound’s regular price at 10 mg and above is $699. The programs DoIQualify tracks that include compounded medication charge $129 to $299 a month ongoing. Compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved products.
Is this quiz a medical diagnosis?
